It's been awhile.....Since January.....

I haven't posted in awhile. Since January actually....Since then, there have been several snows/ice days that we had in Feb. This caused the schools to close a lot and as usual in the south everything shuts down when the roads are icy! We enjoyed a few of those days at home playing. Henry got to experience several batches of snow days at 5 months of age and I got some cute pictures. Ella got to truly go sledding with her cousins at one of CHS practice fields and she got to stay out of school a lot due to her Pre School following the same schedule as Collierville Muni Schools...when they're out due to snow/ice, so is she. Thankfully, Mrs. Tammy (Henry's sitter) kept Ella on days when I was in a bind. Whew! Below are a few picts from our snow fun. Henry and I mostly stayed inside and watched the view from the window, which we were both just fine with :)

Some warm weather FINALLY started showing up around mid March and we were all so glad to see it. Feb. was brutal for us southerners who think if it is below 40 degrees that it is freezing!!!

Henry is growing like a weed. He is 7 months now and is sprouting new hair everyday. In fact, my Dad calls him "sprout" b/c he keeps sprouting new hair every time he sees him. He is really coming in to his personality- squealing and saying "da-da" (of course), eating baby food consistently since 6.5 months old and LOVES it, sleeping better and more on a schedule, and he finally cut 2 teeth just last week. He also did a blast traveling on his first airplane ride this past month.

Ella is 4 going on 14. She is Miss Independent, a rule follower, and a great student who loves her preschool. She is finishing up the year at Faith Lutheran and ready for a fun summer going to VBS at our church, attending a few summer camps at FLP, and hanging with Miss Riley our neighbor who is going to sit for us this summer. She has hit a big growth spurt causing me to have to go through her closet b/c her shorts, shirts, and pants are either too short or tight! She loves riding her bike after school everyday and around the neighborhood. And, she is a great Big Sister to Henry...A big helper to Mama too!

Other than work and the usual life occurrences, we left the day after easter for a vacation with the entire family to Hawaii which was a blast. All 12 of us: 6 adults, 6 kids. It was a nice getaway, so picts to come in the following post. I will try to post sooner. :)

Ella's 4th Birthday & Henry's Christening

We celebrated Ella's 4th birthday with a few friends from school and church and family this year at Sky Zone in Memphis yesterday (Sat. Jan. 10th).  It is an indoor trampoline park so the kids had a blast and hopefully all wore themselves out for naps later on in the afternoon. I know we certainly did at our house! Below are some picts from the day.... My parents were in town all weekend so we had fun going out to eat with them at Grisanti's in the Sheffield Fri. night and celebrating both Ella's birthday and Henry's Christening. Sat. night they were nice enough to watch both kiddo's while Tim and I had a night to ourselves! We ran some errands and went to see an early movie. It was so nice to spend some time just the two of us- especially with free babysitters!!! I even came home to both babies bathed and ready for bed....HEAVEN!

And off they go!

I could hardly keep up with her!

Henry @ 14 Weeks

This morning we had the privilege & honor of christening Henry at our church. What a wonderful, sweet service performed by Bro. Bill. So thankful to have a place of worship like GRUMC - a place that God uses continually to His glory and a place where we can SEE His work at hand on a daily basis. If you don't have a church home, come join us! You won't regret it.
