Happy Fathers Day 2014

We spent the weekend in Coffeeville for Father's Day. Robbye was there with us too all weekend so the girls got to play and had a blast getting to spend some time together. It's always nice to go home and just relax. Mom watched the girls Sat. afternoon so Tim and I went off to Oxford for the day to have some time to ourselves. We had a nice, quiet lunch at Proud Larry's on the square, walked around to a few shops, stopped by Belk, & the chocolate store nearby before heading home....Nothing fancy, but it was nice to have constant conversation that wasn't being interrupted every 30 seconds by a "hey mommy, excuse me daddy, etc.." & just some quality time alone for a change. We forget so much how that is needed still after we have children. Mom didn't disappoint in her cooking skills and Tim and I both left Coffeeville so full on Sunday afternoon that we didn't even eat dinner! Yes, we were that stuffed. lol. Enjoy some picts below from the weekend. :)

Earlier in the week when we were testing out paint samples in Brother's Room- PS We have it narrowed down to 2 names - We are getting there! For some reason, it doesn't even stress me out. Very unlike me. Second Child Syndrome maybe?

Showing Daddy his Father's Day present we made him (a book on shutterfly)

Riding with Robbye in the red car. Ella was very cautious about riding with Robbye. Can't say I blame her- I had to ride with Robbye's mama all those years & Robbye drives about like Betsy so I totally understood. LOL Ella is quite the safe driver (hands on the wheel, seatbelt on and NO texting) Believe me, I know b/c she stays on me constantly about all 3 while driving. It's ok- i need it!

Ella's Debut as Flower Girl & her Big Girl Room!

We traveled to Hilton Head, SC to help marry off Tim's first cousin Kelly Grommersch & fiance George Lynch in mid May. We flew out on a Thurs. & returned home on Sunday afternoon. It was such a fun time and HH was so beautiful. Ella did phenomenal rolling with the flow and being a good flower girl :) It was nice to get to spend some QT with the Grommersches as always. Big Daddy had us an awesome place to stay, Mike & Julie's house was beautiful, & the wedding and reception were both super fun with a great band & good food. The weather was perfect as well. No humidity and so pleasant outside! Kelly was a beaming, gorgeous BRIDE and Ella was in awe of her all day long. She even ended up walking down the aisle after Kelly & George were announced as Mr. & Mrs. Lynch at the end of the ceremony WITH them. Kelly reached out her hand to her, Ella didn't think twice a/b it, grabbed her hand, and marched right out the door with them. It was precious & Kelly was so sweet to include her in her wedding festivities. :) Enjoy pictures below.....

Getting ready to depart Memphis for HH! 2 Thumbs up for "Blast Off!"

Kelly gave Ella her 1st American Girl doll- she was quite the smitten kitten ;)

Advising Daddy on how to convert her bed back to a crib....

Thanks to my sister, baby brother has some clothes. Washed, Dryed, Folded, & placed in his dresser already :)

23 Weeks & Counting....WHOA BABY!

Ella's PRECIOUS new big girl room - I couldn't be more pleased w/ how it turned out. The bed on the left was mine that I slept in as a child/teen :)

& fun w/ friends at the Levitt Shell. Enjoying a fruit snack with Jonathan @ Moon River Fest on Saturday - Good times.

Thankfully we have had some free weekends to do the projects around the house (move Ella upstairs, work on nursery, rearrange Play Room, etc). We have gotten a lot done in the past 2 weeks and none of it could've been accomplished without my sweet husband. Tim is so good at getting stuff done. He has moved things, painted the entire nursery by himself practically, added a closet bar to Ella's closet upstairs, hung things on walls, taken apart beds & put them back together, etc....You name it, he did it. So proud to call him mine. :) As Ella & I like to say "Daddy can fix anything!" ;) We're in the throws of tackling the nursery now. Tim & I are going to paint the area below the chair rail tonight. The bedding was ordered 3 weeks ago so we hope it will be in soon. Everything is slowly but surely coming together. Ella did wonderfully moving upstairs to her big girl room. Never looked back at her nursery. Now that "brother" is moving a lot more and his movements are strong enough for the outside hand to feel she constantly asks to "feel brother move" and puts her hand on my belly. It is so cute. She hasn't felt him yet but I can't wait to see her reaction when she does!

Other than house projects, we have been busy at work and Ella has been busy at VBS with my sister and her kiddo's all last week & starts Play Days at our church twice a week this week. :) Keeping her busy this summer & she is loving it. We got her packet in the mail this past week from Faith Lutheran (her preK where she starts in Aug.)! She & I carried it by yesterday to drop off to the school office. She was SO excited to get to go by her school. I think she is going to absolutely LOVE it. Now, if I can just hold it together on her first day when we drop her off.....GEEZE!

Until next time! ;)
