Around the New House....

We have been keeping busy around our new house in Collierville. Each week we hang more pictures and decorate w/ more decor, pict frames, pottery, and special mementos.

Just for fun, I thought I would post a couple of before and after picts of the house as of now....

This was the den before.....

 And the den after....
Amazing what a little paint and updated decor can do to a room!

Kitchen before...

And after.... (again just some paint here...nothing major)

Fireplace before...

& after...

And this is Ella's new found "hobby" and "trick"...JUMPING off of the stairwell! The girl has no fear I tell ya!

Loves playing games w/ Daddy through the banister....

Showing us her "boo-boo's" from the pediatrician that day....She was fascinated w/ her band-aids. We had 18 month shots on Monday afternoon and we are through w/ shots until Kindergarten - Yah!

Pict below cracks me up....I told Ella to say "cheese" and she strikes this pose. I think we've been hanging around "Bobby" (aka Cousin Robbye) too long - haha

More playing on the stairs in our pj's!

And Little Miss Priss is enjoying her breakfast in the dining room one Saturday morning....

Life in Collierville is rolling along. We are loving it here....Still have alot of exploring left to do and can't wait for Mama to come back so we can do some more fun things. (Last time she was here, I had her WORKING on helping us unpack, so I promised her the next trip would involve some fun things!) Tim is in Chicago this weekend for the trip he won based off of Life Apps last month. Unfortunately, spouses weren't allowed to attend- BOO! So, Ella and I went to Coffeeville last night and spent the night. Betsy and Robbye were there so the girls had a blast playing together. I woke up to lots of giggling this a.m. only to find them jumping on the air mattress in the next room! Too sweet watching these two together. A bunch of friends from back home threw my bff Ginny a baby shower today to celebrate the upcoming arrival of Baby Warner in nearby Oct. and I must say the shower was a SUCCESS! Ella and I returned home this afternoon and have been enjoying more girl time together while Daddy is away, but we will sure be glad when he gets back tomorrow! We have missed him :) That's all for now...I will keep you updated with picts of the house as we get more and more done each week. Our flower beds are getting manicured on Monday w/ new mulch, trimmed hedges, and pulled weeds. I think that will really make a difference to our yard! Until next time...... :)

Sneak Peak....

Below is a sneak peak of our den (& a pict of ella eating breakfast sat morn at her table in the dining room). Things around the house are finally coming together. Tim and I got a lot of things hung this weekend and on the walls which helps tie everything together. So far I have been lucky enough to be able to use all of my window treatments from our house on kindlewood here at our new home which has been nice especially since I had Ella's valance and panels made. It is so nice to finally be back in our new home. We just purchased an antique dining room table and chairs this past weekend from a lady who actually lives in collierville. Dad is coming up this week with his truck so we can get it moved and he's going to refinish it for me and get it looking good! Love that he knows how to do all of that.... He refinished my guest room bedside table & replaced a broken spindle off of my four poster bed and a broken glass off of Ella's antique keepsake cabinet that the movers broke just last week. More pictures to come soon! (i don't know why the picts are so big when i upload/blog from my phone!!) Until next time....

4th of July Fun

Tues. night after work we went over to our friends the Parker's house for an early 4th cookout and swim party. Ella had a blast an loved jumping in the water to her daddy- she has no fear! She swam for a good 2.5 hrs and was zonked out quick in the back seat on the way home later on which resulted in her missing her first fireworks show in collierville. Tim, his grandparents and I all enjoyed the fireworks show right from our neighborhood- another perk about living in collierville! On Wed., We went back to the Parker's for more swimming and playing catch up as we don't see them as often as we like now that we have moved! Hope everyone had a great 4th w/ family and friends... One more bit of news and then I will sign off.... We have a move in date! It is this Wednesday July 11th!!!!! Yah! Can you hear me screaming w/ excitement?!

"New" is our word of the YEAR

New Blog, New Town/State/House, New Business, & A New Chapter in Our Lives.....

Since MobileMe decided to shut down via Apple this past month and since everything has now gone to iCloud, I had to find some other way to publish our website, so I decided to hop on the blogspot bandwagon! Tim, Ella, and I have just recently moved to Collierville, Tennessee and are anxiously awaiting on our house to be finished with renovations so that we can FINALLY move in. We have been living with Tim's grandparents for the past 2.5 months until the upgrades are complete. The contractors are on the last project before we can move in.....laying the hardwood. Our projected move in date (right now) is next Friday, July 13th and it can't get here FAST enough! Tim and I are so appreciative for his grandparents putting us up for the past few months in their upstairs apartment. It has been good for Ella to get to know them too :) We actually bought a house in their neighborhood which has been really convenient with doing all of the renovations. Tim and his dad have done several things himself so its nice for him to be able to go around the corner and work on the house on the weekends.

Until I can get this new blog up and running, here are a couple of "before" pictures of the house and what the previous sellers had it looking like before we got our hands on it. Since we bought the house FSBO, the sellers let us come over and take pictures back in February of this year (which is why it looks so dreary and the grass is dead!) Pictures of the newly renovated Grommersch Home coming soon!!!! (You'll be amazed at what WHITE trim, doors, and cabinets, lots of new wall paint, hardwood, and completely renovated bathrooms can do for a house) :)
