It's Birthday Season & Our 1st Pouncer Pal Event

In the months of Sept. & Oct. every year Ella has 4 of her 6 first cousins that have birthdays w/in weeks of one another. We celebrated first w/ Baby Callie turning 1, then Bobby & Tay Tay turned 4 & 2, & lastly today we celebrated Charlie turning 4. Enjoy a few picts I snapped below from each party. (w/ all the kiddos being so active these days it is dang near impossible to get them to stop and take pictures!)

Robbye & Baby Tay - their birthdays are 11 days apart from each other so Bets had a joint family birthday this year! (the blondies as I call them) Notice Roo has on her "pearls."

Since Tim & I broke down & bought Memphis Tiger basketball season ticks this year (he has been wanting to do this for years!), we thought we would sign Ella up to be a Pouncer Pal. It is a really neat, inexpensive deal. For $20, they have several events for the kiddo's throughout the school year. This first event was at the football game. They fed us pizza & brownies and of course Pouncer was there for photo op's. Ella got an official "pouncer pal" t-shirt to which she loves to tell us "This is Pouncer - He doesn't talk. (& then motions that he only waves to everyone)" LOL We then all walked over to the football field and they let the pals (& parents) walk around the field before the game w/ Pouncer and Tom the Tiger leading us. Then, they gave us football ticks so we would attend the game. Lord knows their football program needs some fans- Bless their hearts! We had a good time although Ella was beat by the time we got to Bobby and Tay Tay's bday celebration. Needless to say, she slept 12 solid hours that night!

While walking around the field, Ella thought everyone was cheering for her so she appropriately gave them her "Miss America" wave....It was hysterical!

Labor Day Holiday

After traveling literally from east to west all week last week, we were happy to come home on Sunday afternoon & have a night at home & a Labor Day holiday the next day to rest and do whatever we wanted.....Soooo, we slept in & didn't get out of the bed until 10 a.m., had a big breakfast at iHop, & decided to venture over to the Delta Fair @ the Agricenter. Ella had fun petting all of the animals and even feeding a baby goat a bottle! She rode a couple of rides, watched a bird show, & we even saw monkey's racing on dogs- CRAZY! We all came home, napped, and then Tim grilled out some delish steaks, potatoes, and veggies on the grill for dinner. All in all, it was a good holiday at home and nice to have before heading back into the work week.

Dallas Trip & A Nashville Wedding

Tim won his first mini State Farm trip through a Sales Promo at work (thanks to Bibby & Dee for keeping Ella Boo for 3 nights!) so we got to go on an adult only getaway just the 2 of us with some close friends and colleagues through SF. We got to tour Cowboys Stadium, eat a nice dinner, tour the SF ASR center, shop, & enjoy the spa @ the Gaylord Texan where we stayed. After dropping Ella off w/ my parents in Grenada on Sunday, Tim and I took the scenic route to Dallas via Shreveport, Louisiana staying at Jimmy Buffets new Margaritaville Casino for one night. We got to enjoy some local cajun food, shop, & even went to a 10:30 p.m. movie at the nearby theatre---I know, I know...we were getting a little crazy w/ that late night movie, right? On the drive over to Shreveport, we quickly realized that we would be passing through Monroe, LA....Home of none other than the infamous Robertson Clan- t.v. show stars from the now ever popular "Duck Dynasty." Tim & I love the show, so after we realized that Duck Commander was a short mile from the interstate, we had to stop and get some picts & souvenirs b/c when would we ever be back in Monroe, Louisiana, right? Enjoy the picts below from our detour to Monroe and our trip to Dallas.......

There were people constantly coming in and out of the parking lot- a complete tourist attraction!

Check out the huge Jumbo Tron- there are elevators that go up in the massive t.v. & get this.....even bathrooms!

After arriving back from Dallas on Wed., we met Mama to get Ella back, came home, worked a day and a half and then headed out to Nashville for the weekend to watch Tim's cousin get married. Tim's parents rented a house in Franklin for the family which was so much nicer than being cramped in a hotel room all weekend. Cacy & Jarrett's wedding was absolutely beautiful taking place at Belle Meade plantation. See some picts below from our weekend in Nashville.......
