Memorial Day/ Family Reunion/ Lake Hamilton

Since Tim's contract signing in May, we have been on the go! The weekend after we signed in Murfreesboro, we hopped a plane to Atlanta to spend the Memorial Day weekend with Big Daddy. We relaxed by the pool, grilled out, and visited with all of the Grommersch's. We had a great time & we're looking forward to Big Daddy coming to visit us in TN next month.

The 2nd weekend in June was the annual Blackwell family reunion in Birmingham, AL. We headed out early that Sunday morning and got to B'ham around 11:00 a.m. We ate a great meal, took some picts, let the kids and cousins play, and got back on the road only to be home before 5 p.m. It was a long day and a QUICK trip (much more time spent in the car, than at the reunion!), but it makes Pop smile, so we will attend every year as long as our schedule permits :)

The middle of June Tim, Ella, & I took our first ever "just the 3 of us" family vacation to Hot Springs, AR. We had the best time doing our own thing on no one's schedule but our own. We rented a condo right on the lake that was convenient to everything! The sunset view from our balcony at night was BEAUTIFUL. We went to Magic Springs water park one day, rented a pontoon boat for the afternoon, swam, shopped, ate good food, & we even carried Ella to the Alligator Farm where we fed goats and baby alligators. She loved it even more so than I thought & wasn't the least bit scared of the goats. I, on the other hand, squealed like a baby anytime one got too close :) So glad she is a tough, strong little girl unlike her mommy @ times - LOL

July is a MUCH slower month for us. We will be home from now until late summer when we will travel to Nashville for Tim's cousins wedding for a long weekend and then off to the beach w/ friends in October. Enjoy the picts & I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer. This weather has been so nice with the humidity not being too bad yet. Enjoying it while we can :)
